1787 Nova Eborac Copper. W-5755. Rarity-3. Medium Bust, Seated Figure Left. MS-63 BN (PCGS).
131.4 grains. Rich deep brown patina with intermingled golden-olive and rose, both sides also display blushes of flint-gray most notable on the central high points. Detail is sharp except for along the upper left reverse border, where some original planchet texture remains. Both sides show only partial denticulation, as usual, but centering is quite good for the type. Satiny surfaces are hard and tight, microscopically rough as made, free of significant marks or other blemishes. A condition rarity Mint State example that will be just right for an advanced type set or specialized collection of New York coinage from the period immediately preceding adoption of the U.S. Constitution.
PCGS# 478. NGC ID: 2B4A.
