1787 Nova Eborac Copper. W-5755. Rarity-3. Medium Bust, Seated Figure Left. AU-58 (PCGS).
127.4 grains. Nicely struck and sharp on a smooth, choice planchet. Obverse centering is ideal for the type, the reverse drawn to 12 o'clock with the upper border into the tops of the peripheral features in that area. Originally toned in marbled autumn-brown and olive-copper, a tiny edge nick at 8:30 on the reverse hardly detracts from this handsome piece.
PCGS# 478. NGC ID: 2B4A.
From the Sydney F. Martin Collection. Earlier ex Monmouth (New Jersey) Stamp & Coin, October 22, 1992.
