KM-74; Basso-55; PNM#6-Not listed; PNM#16-110; PNM#21-VI-80; Cacho-VIII-CS-043; Gil-5-4-1-C. Issued by decree of 2 October 1832, commencing 5 October 1832 until 20 December 1834. Countermark: Type V, crowned F.7.0 within circular indent. Applied to the obverse of a 1830-Ga FS Mexico Republic 8 Reales (KM-377.6). Beautifully preserved and very attractive, this wholesome looking example displays lovely rich mottled gray patina with a slight iridescent sheen. The countermark is boldly applied and clear on a nicely preserved host with plenty remaining detail. Though one of the more available hosts from the series and can be easily located in grades up to very fine, while examples in extremely fine or better are rare to VERY RARE and desirable.
