I. VAIL on an 1841 Matron Head large cent. Brunk V-20, Rulau-Unlisted. Host coin Fine.
Isaac Vail (1801-1878) was a gunsmith working in Bath, IL at least in the 1850s and 60s. He is listed in the 1860 Federal census as a gunsmith. Brunk has only one reported example on an 1854 large cent listed, so this would be a new example.
