Fooks, Royal Artillery, late 2nd Company 2nd Battalion Bengal Artillery, comprising: Sutlej, 1845-46, no clasp (Lieut W: K: Fooks 3rd Batn Arty); Punjab, 1848-49, 2 clasps, Goojerat, Mooltan (Lieut. W. K. Fooks. 2nd Cy 2nd Battn Arty); India General Service 1854-1895, single clasp, Northwest Frontier (Lieut W K. Fooks. 2nd Battn Bengal Arty);Medals individually mounted within a glazed wooden frame with velvet inlay and gilt Royal Artillery insignia below, each medal with matching silver ribbon suspension with reverse pin for wear; toned, surface marks to the first two medals, otherwise good very fine, the latter good extremely fine (3). Major-General W. K. Fooks served in the Sutlej campaign in 1846, including the Battle of Sobraon (Medal); and during the Punjab campaign of 1848-49, including the siege of Mooltan and Battle of Goojerat (Medal with two Clasps) (Hart’s Army List, 1876, refers).
