★ An interesting Silk Road bracteate ★
LOCAL ISSUES, Silk Road Region. Circa 5th-8th century. Bracteate (Brass, 24 mm, 0.62 g), an ornamental piece holed for suspension. Draped facing bust wearing cap-like headdress; pseudo-legend in Pahlavi; star in right field. Rev. Incuse of obverse. Edges partially broken away and the flan somewhat wavy with very minor deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
