HUNNIC TRIBES, Uncertain. Circa 4th-8th centuries. AE (Bronze, 11 mm, 0.73 g), Gandhara. Horse to right within pelleted border. Rev. Lion standing right within pelleted border. Vondrovec -. Extremely rare. The obverse struck somewhat off center and with light deposits, otherwise, very fine.

From the collection of Dr. D. Löer, formed since the 1970s.

This coin belongs to the 'Gandharan Copper' series struck by local Huna rulers in the Peshawar plain, a melting pot of different cultural traditions.
