Description

Philip IV "Royal" 8 Reales 1653 P-E VF Details (Plugged) NGC, Potosi mint, KM-R21, Cal-1412, Lazaro-136. 26.59gm. A fine specimen of this ever-popular type, witnessed in a condition that is typical for these often-holed, presentation 8 Reales. Expansive and well-rounded, expressing boldly struck devices and a uniform dove-gray patina. Two expertly repaired holes can be seen at 3 and 9-o'clock to the obverse, yet do little to detract from the wholesome allure represented here. Ex. Pat Johnson Collection
