Charles II "Royal" 8 Reales 1675 P-E VF Details (Plugged) NGC, Potosi mint, KM-R26, Cal-671, Lazaro-193. 26.11gm. A second impressive specimen from Charles II's elusive "Royal" coinage, designated as plugged and skillfully repaired, as so many of these were, likely for the initial purpose of hanging as pendants or charms and a clear indicator of their status as presentation pieces. Gunmetal surfaces decorate this bold offering, and despite a slightly off-center strike to the reverse, all features are fully present, witnessing somewhat minor wear patterns obscuring only the highest points.
