Description

Baden. Ludwig I Taler (100 Kreuzer) 1829 MS65 NGC, Karlsruhe mint, KM193, Dav-518, Thun-18. An incredibly satin piece which to date has only been exceeded by a single MS66 finer in the certified population (the D. Moore specimen). Nevertheless, even for Gem Mint State the coin is exceptionally fresh and bold, with variegated argent tone giving way to a subtly golden iridescence in the peripheral registers. Ex. Silver Around the World Collection (Heritage Auction #3009, April 2010, Lot 21448) From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
