Description

Anhalt-Bernburg. Alexander Carl Taler 1861-A MS63 NGC, Berlin mint, KM88, Dav-506, Thun-6. Mintage: 10,000. Usually a very available issue, and yet a true conditional rarity in choice, and with Prooflike quality over the fields to wit. Presently unsurpassed at either grading service, the piece finds itself fully interwoven in iridescent tone, creating a wonderful play of colors that reaches its crescendo on the reverse. From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
