NISHAPUR GLAZED BOWL WITH PHYTOMORPHIC MOTIF
Ca. AD 900 - 1000 A Nishapur glazed pottery bowl featuring a deep basin and convex walls painted with simple floral and pseudo-inscription motifs in hues of black on the ground surrounding a central square shape medallion. A homogeneous transparent glaze covers the interior. The exterior is entirely unglazed, following the rules of the Nishapur production.
