Byzantine lead seal of Basileios protoproedros
(ca 12th cent.)
Obverse: Saint Basileios (the Great) standing, facial, nimbate, wearing prelate's garments, blessing by his right and holding the book of Gospels in his left, sigla, Ο/Α/ΓΙ/Ο(C)-[R]ΑCΙΛ[ΕΙΟ]C (Saint Basileios), double linear border with pellets inside.
Reverse: Inscription in 5 lines, ΚΕR,Θ,/ΤΩCΩΔΟΥ,/[R]ΑCΙΛΙΟC/[Π]ΡΟΤΟΠΡΟ/ΕΔΡΟC = Κύριε, βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Βασίλειος πρωτοπρόεδρος (Lord help your servant Basileios protoproedros), dotted border.
