Ancient Byzantine Coins - Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine - Gold Cross-on-Steps Solidus
610-641 AD. Constantinople mint. Obv: DNN hERACLIVS ET hERA CONST PP AVG legend with facing busts of Heraclius (left) and Heraclius Constantine (right) wearing chlamys and elaborate crown with cross between. Rev: VICTORIA AVG? ? legend with officina letter S and cross on four steps; mintmark CONOB below. BMC 10 (etc.); Sear 734. 4.43 grams. . Ex Jesus Vico, S.A., sale 151, lot 527 (with lot ticket").
Good very fine; slightly weak bottom right to obverse.
