Ancient Roman Imperial Coins - Gratian - Emperor Standing Light Miliarensis
378-383 AD. Aquileia mint. Obv: D N GRATIANVS P F AVG legend with diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev: VIRTVS EXERCITVS legend with emperor standing facing holding labarum and resting on shield; mintmark AQ PS in exergue. RIC ix, p.99, 23a; RSC 52d; Sear 19954. 4.51 grams. . Property of a deceased Cambridgeshire collector; with envelope and ticket. This lot is being sold for the benefit of a Cambridgeshire charity.
Good very fine; slightly double-struck and small edge chip. Rare.
