Roman Panther Statuette
1st century BC-1st century AD. A bronze figure of a panther, looking over its shoulder, advancing on a rectangular base with flared legs. See Rolland, H. Bronzes Antiques de Haute Provence, Paris, 1965, item 401 for type. 71.1 grams, 45mm (1 3/4"). Property of a gentleman; acquired in the late 1960s-early 1970s.
Very fine condition.
