Iron Age Celtic Gold Ring with Snake-Head Terminals
2nd century BC-1st century AD. A gold finger ring comprising a coiled rod with finials each formed as a rounded rectangle with punched roundels and applied pellets. 18.21 grams, 25.29mm overall, 19.49mm internal diameter (approximate size British T 1/2, USA 9 3/4, Europe 21.89, Japan 21) (1"). Property of a gentleman; acquired in the late 1960s-early 1970s.
