Description
Eastern Hellenistic Gold Ornamented Spiral Ring
Mid 1st millennium BC. A heavy gold bar coiled upon itself in three loops for use as a ring or hair ornament, the finials hammered with incised chevrons. 36.28 grams, 30mm (1 1/4"). Ex Manton collection, Birmingham, UK; formerly acquired from a London auction house in the 1970s.
Very fine condition. A large wearable size.
