Chinese Northern Wei Brick with Standing Buddha
Northern Wei Dynasty, 386-534 A.D. Rectangular with arched niche, enclosing a standing robed Buddha figure in high-relief, hands holding robe and aureole behind, on a lotus-flower stand. 2.37 kg, 28 x 13.5 cm (11 x 5 3/8 in.).
Ex Hong Kong collection, 1970-1990s.
