ROMAN EMPIRE: Vespasian, 69-79 AD, AE sestertius (24.15g), RIC-233, struck AD 71, IMP CAES VESPAS AVG P M TR P P P COS III, laureate head right // IVDAEA CAPTA, S C in exergue, Jewess in attitude of mourning, seated right beneath palm tree; to left, captive Jew with hands tied behind back standing right; arms behind, Very Good. From an old Collection, purchased by the collector in the 1960s with his tag.
