"1799" (ca. 1800) Repub. Ameri. Medal. Second Obverse. Musante GW-62, Baker-69A. White Metal. MS-62 (PCGS).
32.8 mm. 159.3 grains. Largely brilliant pewter gray with good reflectivity in the fields and satiny devices. An area of gentle patina is noted in the lower right reverse with some associated scattered pesting flecks revealed under magnification, and there is a bump at Washington's lower left truncation. A minor bend is noted in the flan. Nicer quality than usually seen and the more common composition for this memorial type. Struck in coin alignment, as usually seen, on a relatively thin flan of about 2.2 mm.
