Description

Undated (ca. 1793) Washington Success Medal. Small Size. Musante GW-44, Baker-267B, W-10875. Brass, Tinned. Reeded Edge. MS-63 (PCGS).
19.6 mm. 39.4 grains. A handsome example of this small size variant with deep mahogany and steel toning over much of the surface, while the centers come alive in contrast with generous original tinning and related luster. Nicely struck with the all-seeing eye at the central reverse nicely detailed. A tiny natural flan crack is noted through the W of WASHINGTON.
From the Richard August Collection.

Estimate: $1000
