1763 Peace of Paris Medal. Betts-444. Bronze. MS-63 BN (PCGS).
41.1. mm. 442.4 grains. Plain edge. Struck from the same dies and with a similar finish as Ford XIV:146. Medium brown with golden-bronze undertones and some darker encrustation around peripheral design elements. Nicely struck and attractive despite a somewhat mottled appearance. This is the obverse type described by Betts; the only examples we've offered in the last two decades came from the Ford and Syd Martin collections.
From the Joe Foster Collection.
