Henry Miller's Roman Head
1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 52-G.1, W-2745. Rarity-6-. Mailed Bust Right, Roman Head. Fine Details--Environmental Damage (PCGS).
95.0 grains. Dark olive brown. Granular and rough throughout, but some of this roughness probably relates to shallow natural flaws. Peripheral details weak but visible, while the central motifs are a bit more delineated. The date is bold. A couple of old scratches are evident on the reverse. A single prominent clash mark over the effigy's head, but the secondary one that later appears to its left is not visible here. Among the lower-weight examples observed.
PCGS# 687385.
