Circa 1793 Washington Success Token. Large Size. Third Obverse. Musante GW-43, Baker-265, var., W-Unlisted. Brass. Plain Edge. Fine-15 (PCGS).
24.8 mm. 69.2 grains. Deep olive brass with traces of hard, ruddy oxidation in some of the recesses. Though fairly worn, the major design details are all visible and easily made out. The rarer die pairing with a large nearly horizontal break through Washington's head. Reverse dies exhibit spalling as on all seen. A variety overlooked by Baker as well as Fuld and Rulau.
