1898-S Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-65+ PL (PCGS). CAC.
Prooflike dollars play to their own audience. The collecting of such can be quite a challenge, as the vast majority, unless in very high grade, are peppered with distracting bagmarks. This is true even at the MS-65 level. However, among coins certified as MS-65+ PL the present piece has many fewer contact marks than expected. Accordingly, we suggest that it is worthy of in-person examination and, afterward, an enthusiastic bid. There are some pieces graded MS-66 PL that can not hold a candle to this!
