Description

Bellows Falls, Vermont. $1 1875. Fr. 383. The NB. Charter #1653. PMG Very Fine 30.

Currently unrecorded by the National Bank Note Census, this example would make the 3rd 1875 $1 recorded on this institution. Interestingly enough a note hailing from the same sheet is also recorded from Plate B and is pedigreed to the collection of Q. David Bowers who specialized in $1 Nationals from New England. Even circulation is observed, in addition, to strong colors and bold blue-stained complemented by an abundance of extant silk fibers. Ink burn is nonetheless apparent with both signatures, a fault that appears to be shared among this particular signature combination.

Estimate: $1000.00- $1500.00
