Description

1832 Capped Bust Half Dime. LM-8.4, V-5A. Rarity-3. MS-64+ (NGC). CAC.

Warmly toned surfaces display dominant golden-gray and sandy-tan patina, the reverse border with halos of more vivid cobalt blue and rose. This softly lustrous example is sharply struck in most areas with a pleasingly smooth appearance during in-hand viewing. This is a scarce die pairing, the present specimen representing the penultimate die state.

PCGS# 38673. NGC ID: 232E.
