Description
1795 Flowing Hair Half Dime. LM-8, V-5. Rarity-3. VF-35 (PCGS). CAC.
A generally dove-gray example, vivid steel-blue and rose undertones backlight the olive-russet that outlines the design elements. Detail is soft through the centers, largely the result of strike, as the surfaces are lustrous enough to suggest an EF grade. Smooth in hand with a very pleasing appearance, there is much to recommend this early half dime for inclusion in a circulated type set.
