Description

1845 James K. Polk Indian Peace Medal. Bronze. Second Size. Second Reverse. Julian IP-25, Prucha-46. MS-63 BN (NGC).

62.4 mm. 1902.6 grains. Reddish mahogany bronze with just a trace of subtle mottling in the fields. The surfaces have a fine satin finish and pleasing soft luster, while there are essentially no handling marks worthy of mention. Beautifully struck from the post-1846 reverse die and very well preserved.
