MEXICO. 2 Reales, 1751/41-Mo M. Mexico City Mint. Ferdinand VI (1746-59). PCGS MS-64 Gold Shield.
Gilboy M-2-24a, Cayon-10390, KM-86.1, Yonaka-M2-51a. Yonaka notes that the overdate is more common than the clean date. Brilliant with impressive flash in the centers and edges that are ringed in rich russet tone. While very minor, planchet fissures in the shield appear to be the only imperfection that would have prevented Gem certification. Even so, RARE and extremely desirable in this elusive quality.
