COSTA RICA. Banco Internacional de Costa Rica. 5 Colones, 1930. P-174b. PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
A run of 28,000 Serie C notes was issued on Sept. 23, 1930, S/N C 755551. The front shows an Indian girl holding a basket of pineapples at the left and a banana tree on the right along with an ornate guilloche design displaying the denomination. The back also shows a stunning design along with the Roman numeral V intertwined with the number 5. Only 7 examples graded by PMG this being the finest.
