1875 Liberty Head Double Eagle. MS-62 (PCGS).
A popular Type II double eagle, this date becomes decidedly scarce in Choice Mint State or higher, thus making good looking MS-62 pieces like this a great selection for date purposes. Rich orange gold coloration adorns both the obverse and reverse, enlivened by a thick, satiny mint frost. Well struck, this example is quite pleasing for the assigned grade and will delight any collector.
