1794 Liberty Cap Cent. S-57. Rarity-1. Head of 1794 AU-50 (PCGS).

Pleasing medium olive-brown with a few minor surface marks, a few on the obverse at the junction of Liberty's jaw and throat serving as useful identifiers. Detail is quite sharp overall, just a tad mushy at the lower left reverse. Popular for type purposes, this plentiful die marriage for the 1794 large cent is nicknamed the Pyramidal Head due to the straight sweep of the hair behind Liberty's head. Breen Die State IV.
