No. 2199. Signed by E. Edwards, J. Wharton and R. Vaux. Printed by Hall and Sellers, 1775. Plate A. Part of the £6000 in Bills issued for the construction of the Cape Henlopen Lighthouse shown on the back (and which incidentally collapsed into the sea in April, 1926.) A rather tough note to find Uncirculated as PMG has graded only four examples, this being the second finest. Fully margined on pleasing, off-white paper with three clear and legible signatures. PMG Pop 1/1 Finer.
