Fr. 277. 1899 $5 Silver Certificate. PCGS Banknote Extremely Fine 40 PPQ.
Only a few extremely faint folds visible under careful examination provide evidence that this note was in circulation. The surface of the paper remains unbroken, and in our eyes, the note would face up well in an AU holder. As the PPQ designation suggests, crisp white original paper and bold blue overprinting give this note plenty of eye appeal. If you're looking for a top quality, lightly circulated Chief with no need for any apologies, look no further.
