Fr. 232. 1899 $1 Silver Certificate. PCGS Banknote Gem Uncirculated 66 PPQ. Serial Number 5.
Proudly displaying its serial number of "N5N" this Black Eagle Ace is a superb gem in every respect. Well-centered and boldly impressed with Premium Paper Quality, it's difficult to imagine what else one might want in a note. We note two prior auction appearances: one in June, 1999 where it realized $1,320 and another in April, 2007 where it brought $4,140. A wonderful opportunity for both the collector of unusual serial numbers as well as the type collector who wants an example that needs no apologies.
