1788 Massachusetts Half Cent. Ryder 1-B, W-6010. Rarity-2. About Uncirculated, Gold Plated.
89.51 grains. This crisply impressed, razor sharp example is not all that far removed from Mint State. A few wispy handling marks in the right obverse field hardly detract, both sides with a lovely bright medium gold appearance. An intriguing piece, although the gilding was certainly done post-production.
