GERMANY. Medallic Issues. Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. Karl Anton/Culture Gold Medal of Merit, ND (1857). NGC MS-62.
Sommer-K136 note. By W. Kullrich. Diameter: 30mm; Weight: 20.82 gms. Obverse: Bare head left; Reverse: BENE / MERENTI in two lines within garlanded oak wreath. A VERY RARE and interesting award medal that was issued in the name of the Prince of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, an area that had, at the time of the medal's manufacture, been absorbed into the Kingdom of Prussia. Highly dazzling and mirrored, with exceptional brilliance and eye appeal. Includes original collector's ticket.
