MACEDON. Kingdom of Macedon. Time of Philip III to Lysimachos, 323-280 B.C. AR Drachm, Uncertain Mint in Western Asia Minor. NGC AU, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 3/5. Brushed.

Pr-2733. In the name and types of Alexander III 'the Great'. Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and scepter; monogram in left field. A more uncommonly encountered example, this piece is only lightly handled and has strong details and lustrous surfaces despite a vigorous brushing.
