ITALY. Calabria. Tarentum. AR Didrachm (Nomos) (7.80 gms), ca. 302-290 B.C. CHOICE VERY FINE. Test Cut.
HGC-1, 801; Vlasto-596; HN Italy-935. Obverse: Warrior, holding two spears and shield, and preparing to hurl third spear, on horse rearing right; Reverse: Phalanthos, holding shield and trident, riding dolphin left; below; dolphin left. Despite the unfortunate test cut, this Calabrian survivor maintains a bit of charm.
