ITALY. Calabria. Tarentum. AR Didrachm (Nomos) (7.80 gms), ca. 302-280 B.C. NGC Ch VF, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 3/5.

HGC-1, 813; Vlasto-666-7; HN Italy-957. Obverse: Crowning youth on horse trotting right; Reverse: Phalanthos, holding tripod, riding dolphin left. A well struck example on a toned flan, this choice example still gives strong mint originality when the light comes into contact with it. A good, problem-free specimen.
