A far more difficult 1906 dated note than the later issue of 1922 for this iconic $20 Washington design. These large-size Gold Certificates are always at the front of collector lists as they simply a stunning to view. The gold overprinted color assures the bearer of the precious metal these notes were once backed by. Gem examples are generally scarce with any Gold Certificate design or denomination considered and this 1906 note shows all the technical quality one would expect for such a lofty grade.
