Description
1849-O Liberty Seated Quarter. Briggs 1-A, the only known dies. VF Details--Cleaned (PCGS).
With an unknown, although presumably limited mintage that is included in that of the 1850-O issue, the 1849-O is the rarest New Orleans Mint Liberty Seated quarter. Larry Briggs (1991) assigns Fine and VF survivors an impressive Rarity-5+ rating.
