Cr-544/15; CRI-350; Syd-1217. Legionary issue. Obverse: Praetorian galley right; Reverse: Aquila between two signa; LEG - III across lower field. Struck on a somewhat compact flan, this popular issue nevertheless features a well centered strike on good metal, remaining free from typical issues such as bankers' marks and even offering an alluring and pleasing cabinet tone. A hint of golden brilliance furthers its appeal by highlighting the devices.
