Francis Norwood Pool (1834-1920) was a machinist working in Massachusetts from the late 1860s until after the turn of the century. He also served in the Civil War and enlisted in Company E, Massachusetts 42nd Infantry Regiment on 30 Sep 1862. He mustered out on 20 Aug 1863 at Readville, MA. Brunk gives no information on this issuer, but does list one example reported on an 1816 large cent, making this a new example.
