A very attractive and well detailed stamp! Frank Dean Tobey (1845-1928) was a photographer working in Chicago, IL at 238 State St. from at least 1876-1882 and at 145 22nd St from 1882-1900. He is buried in Rochester, WI, just north of Chicago. Included with this lot is an actual photo by Tobey, which has a printed stamp that matches the stamp on the coin.

From the Steve M. Tompkins Collection. Purchased from “Babe” Binette.

Estimate: $ 150
