L. BALLOU on an 1832 Capped Bust half dollar, O-105. Brunk B-234, Rulau-NY 1055. Host coin About Uncirculated, but holed.
Levi Ballou was a silversmith listed in on the 1850 census as working in Utica, NY. It is unknown exactly what years he worked, but time spent with Utica directories should shed more light on his activities. This is a new example, as Brunk only lists examples on an 1835 Capped Bust quarter and an 1823 Capped Bust half dollar.
