Military Medals
"1818" Governor Isaac Shelby / Battle of the Thames Medal. By Moritz Furst. Julian MI-21. Bronze. MS-66 BN (NGC).
65 mm. A handsome light olive-brown example with some intermingled autumn-brown highlights. Sharply defined and smooth overall, the semi-reflective fields reveal iridescent lilac-blue undertones as the medal dips into a light. The intricate battle scene on the reverse depicts the body of famed Native American Chief Tecumseh in the field between the opposing armies.
