37.5 mm. An engaging piece that offers overall bold to sharp detail and surfaces that are uncommonly smooth in hand for the assigned grade. There certainly are no marks of consequence, and the PCGS qualifier concerns only shallow, scattered pitting and a trace of roughness to the texture from light surface scale. Dominant deep-olive copper patina, intermingled blushes of medium rose suggest a light cleaning, probably to remove surface scale. Rather pleasing overall, and sure to please many specialists in this popular Colonial era medal series.
